Hello, I'm Wojciech Grodzicki. I'm a game programmer.

It hasn't always been the case, though. My original background is in life sciences, specifically in food technology and toxicology. I was working as a university researcher when I re-descovered my childhood passion for video games. But besides playing I started tinkering and modding them myself. Soon I felt that in order to achieve what I wanted, I had to learn how to code. So I started my first programming course. I was hooked.

After one year on learning on my own I decided to switch careers and was fortunate enough to join an indie game studio as an intern. I also realized that I needed to broaden my computer science knowledge, so I enrolled in a post-graduate programme in Software Engineering.

Today I work on real-life projects as a Junior Game Programmer, specializing in C# and Unity. I focus on gameplay programming, although I've also dived into game systems, implementing save, translation or input-related features. Every day I'm excited to build something new in a clean, easy to maintain fashion. And I'm still hooked!
